In 1988, Maryna Kutsevol graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Mining Institute in the specialty "Geological survey, prospecting and exploration of mineral deposits". From 1988 to 1994 she worked as a geologist at the Novomoskovsk Geological Exploration Expedition. In 1999 she became Doctor of Philosophy in Geology. The dissertation topic was “Mineralogy of silica group gems from the crust of weathering of the ultrubasites of the Ukrainean shield (Middle Bug area)”.

Since 2001 she has worked as an Associate Professor at the Department of Mineralogy and Petrography of the National Mining Academy. In 2018, she was transferred to the post of Associate Professor at the Department of Geology and Mineral Prospecting of the National Technical University “Dnipro Polytechnic”.

Subjects taught: "Mineralogy", "Laboratory methods for the study of minerals and rocks", "Regional Geology".

Research interests: geology; mineralogy; gemology; archeological petrography.
